Ex-Western District Ambulance Division is one of the four ambulance divisions in No.4 Ambulance Corps. Ambulance Region, Hong Kong Island Command (photo). And Ex-Western District Nursing Division is one of the five nursing divisions in No.1 Nursing Corps. Nursing Region, Hong Kong Island Command (photo). They were both formally established in 29 July 1950, just after the World War II. They were also the first divisions pair (Ambulance & Nursing) that initiated by a Kai Fong (Neighborhood) Association.

On 1 April 2013, Hong Kong Island Command underwent Phase I re-structure. Western District Ambulance Division was renamed as Western District A Division, whereas Western District Nursing Division was renamed as Western District B Division.

On 1 January 2014, Hong Kong Island Command underwent Phase II re-structure. All officers and memebrs of Western District B Division was merged into Western District A Division. At the same time Western District A Division renamed again to Western District Division under No.1 Corps of Region B.

On 1 Feburary 2015, Hong Kong Island Command underwent Phase III re-structure. Western District Division became under H3 (C&W) Corps.

On 1 April 2017, Brigade underwent re-structure. Western District Division became under Hong Kong West No.1 Corps of Hong Kong West Region.

We had served Hong Kong aggressively in past 70 years with the Brigade's Mottoes "Pro Fide" and "Pro Utilitate Hominum", which mean for "the Faith" and "for the Service of Mankind", by providing First-Aid and Ambulance services to the community and the government.
